If I can’t come to the whole term, do I still have to pay?
Yes, we only have a limited number of spaces and we need to timetable our classes. When you book with us you are agreeing to a non-refundable course. However, there is no commitment after the 6 weeks.
What happens if I can’t make one week?
Please let us know if you can’t make one of the weeks, as we like to prepare resources. You can email us at email@example.com
How do I know my level?
The more information you can give us, the better we can place you. To get an an idea go to 'Chose Your Level'
What are the levels?
We have 4 levels for French these are: Beginner, Beginner +, Intermediate and Advanced. We have 3 levels for Spanish: Beginner, Beginner+ and Advenced. If you are interested in Intermediate Spanish, register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
What if I get to the course and it’s too difficult/easy?
We’re very happy for you to try a mixture of classes through the week for no extra cost. We want you to find the group where you are most comfortable. Just let your teacher know and we’ll email you with some alternative course times.
Can I try before I buy?
Can I move up levels?
Yes! If your teacher feels you are ready for a bigger challenge you can move up to the next level, we’ll do our best to find the right time slot for you.
How fast can I learn a language with you?
We know that one hour a week is not enough to become fluent quickly, so we like to give you lots of lovely homework! We also encourage you to listen to podcasts, watch films and give you lots of resources and advice on how to learn during the week.
If you have a specific goal or limited time to learn, we recommend one-to-one or two-to-one lessons. Find out more about by going to our 1:1 page.
We also run French themed evenings where you can practise the French you’ve learnt in your classes. See our events page for more info.
If I sign up for the next term will I have to repeat the course?
No! We are very careful when grouping people, and our courses run as such that you’ll only ever build on what you’ve learnt with us. New people may join your group, but we all move along together, you won’t have to start again or repeat the previous 6 weeks because new people have joined.
Do you run courses for children
We run Coffee Time French & Spanish GCSE preparation, but we do not cater for children. For more informaiton head to the GCSE pages on the website.
What do I need for the lesson?
For face-to-face lessons you will need a note pad and pen and some change for a coffee.
For online lessons you will need to have your Zoom or Skype open and your cup of tea or coffee to hand!
(We use both platforms based on the taechers preference. You will be informed which one your teacher uses after booking)
Can I bring my dog?
All the venues we teach in are dog-friendly, which means that you can bring your well behaved pooch along with you to class!
Is there parking near the venues?
We run most of our face-to-face courses in Southbourne, Bournemouth. There is a pay and display car park just off the main high street called Woodside Road car park. Otherwise there is street parking; you can park for an hour for free, although the high street is often busy, so arrive in good time to find a space.
Can I get a Refund?
When you book a 6 week course with us you are agreeing to a non-refunable service. However, there is no commitment after that 6 weeks. We don't do direct debits or subscription fees. There are no hidden costs.
