We often get asked ‘How can I practise speaking the language whilst living in England?’
WE SAY, COME ALONG TO ONE OF OUR THEMED EVENTS!
Let's celebrate the start of a new academic year by meeting up to play some boules. This is a popular, sociable sport played in France and Spain. The idea is to play a little pétanque and practise a little French and Spanish with your teachers and fellow classmates. Bring along a picnic if you fancy. We shall provide the boules and teach you the rules!
Tickets £5 pp
Come and join us at Muscliff Petanque Club to play some boules and practise your French & Spanish with teachers and fellow students.
Wine Time French
Wine tasting in French with English translation. Try 5 French wines and aperitifs to accompany each wine. Be immersed in an evening of all things French. This event happens 3 times a year. Our next theme will be Beaujolais! Tickets will be released soon, register your interest below.
Walk and talk in French! Come and practice your French with a friendly group of speakers and experienced teachers. We meet the first Friday of every month at 9:30am at Bistro On The Beach, Southbourne promenade. (Except August)
We have a sociable stroll towards Boscombe pier, we walk for just under a mile and then return to the Bistro for coffee and more chatting! We usually part ways around 11:00am
If the weather is terrible, we'll skip the walk and head straight for coffee at the Bistro! Suitable from complete beginners to fluent speakers, it's a great excuse to socialise and hone your skills at the same time. As soon as we get the all clear from Boris, we'll start these events again. In the meantime register your interest below.
Coffee Time Spanish - monthly social
Come and learn/practise your Spanish at Urban Beach the 3rd Friday of each month, during term time. All levels welcome. Enjoy a coffee whilst practising your Spanish with native speakers and Spanish teachers. We will give you prompts to help you start the conversations. Don't worry if you are a complete beginner, we have qualified teachers to help you along. Hearing and being around the language is a great way to start! As soon as we get the all clear from Boris, we'll start these events again. In the meantime register your interest below. Tickets £5.
